March 31
Pray
for anticipation of His coming.
Jesus
Christ, my Savior and Redeemer, I give you all the worship that's in
my heart, and I'm sure that all the love I have in my heart is yours,
too. You gave me the ability to love!
I
love all those who read this, just as you do. Jesus, please send
your ministering angels to each one who has need today. Provide
comfort, or endurance, or faith, or provision, or whatever is needed.
But most of all give us all a constant awareness of the thing we are
waiting for, what we live in hope of; your glorious return to the
earth! Teach us patience to live in this anticipation.
Like
it says in James 5:7-8 (Sandy's paraphrase of scripture) “Wait
patiently for the Lord's coming. Just like the farmer waits for his
crops. He plants seed, he waits, he patiently works every day. He
sees the early season rain and the late season rain come, and is
confident the time is approaching. Like that, plant your heart in the
certainty of his promised return.”
Or,
like a marathon runner, who can see the finish line approaching, and
his strength is renewed. “Just stick with it, so when you've
finished the course as required, you will get the prize! Because the
finish line is very close now. In just a little while, the One who
promised to come will come, and he won't be late.” Hebrews 10:36-37
(SPS)
Jesus,
there are many things we are unsure of, but we can always certainly
count on you to do what you've said. You told us you'd come back and
we yearn to see your magnificent arrival.
Come
soon, Lord! Come soon! Amen!
