Pray for hope in times of difficulty.
Faithful Lord of All, You are consistent and trustworthy. Your love and help in times of need is just as regular as the waves of the sea and the pathway of the stars.
You never vary from what you've told me to expect, never forget to rescue me.
You never turn away and delay the help I need, it is always in your perfect timing.
Even though I may get distracted from you, you never get distracted from me. I call out to you, not to get your attention, but in order to show that you have mine. My eyes are fully on you, Great God.
Now, just like you told us, difficulties come in increasing waves like birth pangs. In Genesis 35:17 the midwife told Rachel not to despair because another son was coming. That is our hope! Just like a woman in labor, we trust the pain is going to bring something good, something worth working for; it definitely makes us seek your face, and seek to see your kingdom on the earth.
And though our Savior has come once, all of the earth labors until he comes again!
The hope of salvation has such a hold on me! O, Jesus, I am weak but you can renew my strength! Lord of Hosts, send your messengers to strengthen me and provide rest, so I can keep pressing on.
My heart will not fail because you will keep me.
I thank you and give you glory, coming King Jesus! Lord of Hope!
