Jesus Christ, Son of God and Lover of my soul,
While I am awake, I am constantly busy. I set out each day to accomplish and conquer what I've put on my agenda.
Open my eyes and my heart, even while I sleep, to the agenda You have for me. Commune with me, Spirit to spirit during the night, as I rest from distraction.
While I rest and when I wake, align my heart with yours. Show me how Your agenda is less about tasks and more about the journey, less about what is accomplished and more about the way it is done.
When the sun rises each morning, make my heart and my thoughts rise toward you. Teach me to reflect on what Your Word teaches me.
I choose to be receptive to your Holy Spirit. I want your influence to persuade me. Win me over to your ways, O Lover of my soul. AMEN.
Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that always prevails!
