Lord of Hope,
Oh, how it lifts my spirit to praise you! Thank you for the gift of worship. By it, you change my view and my focus is elevated to a higher plane. My desires and dreams will chase after you, my God and my King!
When I praise you I also recognize the enemies of praise within me. Your pure light of love reveals the dark places in my heart so I can be free. I'm not a slave to these things any longer, I've been adopted to reign in freedom, like my Heavenly Father, and under his direction.
I confess that I still harbor those dark things in my heart. Forgive me. Help me to let them go.
As I receive your forgiveness, remove the weight of my sin, so I can soar as you intend. I let go of my anger, resentment, bitterness, and fear. Remove their effects from me.
Give me complete freedom to dream with You, Holy Spirit, as you reveal new possibilities, new revelations, new dreams. AMEN.
LORD, I know that people's lives are not their own;
it is not for them to direct their steps.
