Jesus, Word of Life,
When you speak it is like electricity! Holy Spirit, when I sense your presence the atmosphere crackles and sings with your power! Your words are so full of life, even the power of creation is wrapped in your words, your commands! The immensity of your power is incredible. But I am such a small, fragile creature. What a challenge it must be to find ways to reduce, no, condense yourself to a portion fit for me to receive. Only a kernel of your goodness can fit into my understanding.
Thank you for diffusing a portion of your message into my spirit while I dream. It is a beautiful way to commune with you, receive from you, with my intellectual barriers down. When I sleep, I put myself completely in your care, in your hands, in your trust. No other force has any right to speak to me when I sleep. Only you. I want to hear you. Speak to me. AMEN.
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
